In June 2021, Jess and Malcolm embarked on a new and exciting journey by joining David Reid Homes as the Rodney to Bream Bay team. Their combined experience and dedication have seen them thrive in this venture.

Malcolm, a seasoned builder with over 25 years of experience, has been in the industry since he was 18 or 19 years old. His career started in construction, where he worked on various commercial projects worth over $10 million. Malcolm’s expertise includes managing sites and contracts for large building companies and handling complex tasks such as using cranes in high-density areas. His time at Downer, working alongside Jess, allowed him to gain valuable insights into the civil side of construction.

Jess, on the other hand, brings a wealth of experience in administration and customer service. With over 20 years in these fields, including 15 years in building project administration and communications, Jess has honed her skills in translating technical jargon into understandable terms for clients. Her ability to communicate effectively has been a cornerstone of their success.

The duo's journey with David Reid Homes began when they were approached by the head office, thanks to a recommendation from a trusted contact. Malcolm’s reputation for maintaining high standards made them an ideal fit for the David Reid Homes brand. This opportunity was a perfect match for their skills and aspirations.

Currently, Jess and Malcolm will be working on the Warkworth Ridge subdivision, which will feature multiple David Reid Homes house and land packages. The first step will be building a show home so that clients can see exactly the level of workmanship they can expect from building a home with David Reid Homes.

Jess and Malcolm relish being involved in the design phase. "We love helping people bring their ideas to life and tailor things to their lifestyle," Jess says.

One of their current projects is a holiday home in Langs Beach for a family with three boys.
