David Reid Homes is thrilled to be the match day sponsor as Otago aims to defend the Ranfurly Shield against the Thames Valley Swampfoxes.
The Otago v. Thames Valley Swampfoxes game will be held in Wanaka on July 13, after some solid campaigning by Chris Leith and the team at David Reid Homes Wanaka.
“It’s going to be one of the bigger matches we’ve had here … they ummed and ahhed about whether it was going to be Queenstown, Alex or Wanaka and I helped persuade them slightly to get it to come to Wanaka, and it should be a good day,” Chris says.
A brand new rugby jersey is being launched in honour of the Wanaka rugby game, featuring a picture of the Cardrona Hotel.
It will be a one-off jersey produced purely for the sold-out Ranfurly Shield game.
Chris has been involved with rugby in the region for many years, and the match was a special cause for him to get behind.
David Reid Homes Chief Executive Ben Allan says the national office was also excited to get behind the match.
“It is great to support this event in Wanaka and at the same time say ‘thank you’ to all our wonderful Otago clients who have put their trust in us to design and build their home,” he says.
Kicking off at 2.05pm, the game will be a great day out for the entire community.
