Experience the new in Waikanae, Kapiti Coast

Next up in our series of videos showcasing our clients' new homes, David Reid Homes visits Suhanya and Dan Green in their recently completed new home in Waikanae on the Kapiti Coast to find out why they "love new."

Built by Tim Sutherland and his team at David Reid Homes Wellington and Kapiti, the house is on a 455m2 section and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.  

The house exudes a contemporary feel through front and back skillion roofs and is a perfect new home for Suhanya, Dan, and their growing family. Some of the home's key features include the use of large windows to create a light living space, large slider doors onto the deck space, bench seats to maximise space in the dining area and polished concrete floors in the kitchen and the bathrooms.  

The warm modern kitchen sports a hidden scullery and stylish pendant lights. As with Greg and Suzanne in our previous episode, the splashback is a favourite feature of the kitchen. It went through some robust design processes with the kitchen designers to get the result that was desired, and elevated it to something beautiful.
 

 
Due to the size of the section, intelligent use of space needed to be part of the design process. Suhanya says, "No space in the house hasn't been thought about. The space has been utilised so beautifully". 

Suhanya and Dan enjoyed the process of moulding their new home to the style they wanted with Tim and his team, choosing colour schemes, fixtures and fittings. When they moved in, it felt like a house they had designed and were proud to share with friends and family.

As Dan says in an effusive testimonial, "David Reid Homes won't put their name on any old house, and that would encourage us to build with them again. They will build you a house that is to a high standard, and you know you will love it for a long time. I don't think we could live in a home now that wasn't a David Reid Homes home."
