New Show Home at Richmond – David Reid Homes Nelson & Tasman

  • With masterful attention to detail, exceptional craftsmanship, and a design that speaks deeply to its surroundings, David Reid Homes Nelson & Tasman proudly presents its stunning new show home - A Hallmark of Distinction - at 14 Hallmark Drive, Richmond.

A Mid-Century Modern Home Built for the Nelson Landscape

Positioned on a corner section in the sought-after Paton Rise development in Richmond, this remarkable home reveals itself differently at every angle. Three distinct exterior claddings - Brickworks 'Verona' brick, James Hardie Oblique weatherboard, and stained Genia Vertica timber - combine with native plantings and local rock to establish a confident mid-century modern aesthetic with unmistakable contemporary precision. It is the kind of first impression that signals something truly special lies within.

Inside the Home – Where Texture Meets Luxury

Open plan kitchen and living area with porcelain benchtop, brick fireplace and high raking ceilings – David Reid Homes Nelson show home, Richmond

Step inside, and the promise of the exterior is immediately fulfilled. High raking ceilings rising to 2.7m sweep through both the main living area and master bedroom, creating a grand yet welcoming sense of space. Texture is the defining thread throughout - plaster, grid wall, Hardie Groove, brushed concrete Axon panel, and loop wool carpet - ensuring that every room rewards a closer look. The David Reid Homes Nelson & Tasman team has brought together a layered palette of materials that gives the home its unmistakable depth and character.

A Living Space Anchored by the Fireplace

The heart of the home is a generous open-plan living, kitchen, dining, and family space, anchored by a striking Escea LE1000 brick fireplace whose cladding carries seamlessly from the interior wall through to the exterior facade - a beautiful, intentional gesture that brings the outside in and completes the home's connection to the Nelson landscape beyond.

    A Kitchen Designed to Impress

In the kitchen, a curved rangehood and wave pendant light introduce softness and curves to an otherwise structured scheme. Prime Porcelain 'Ankara' benchtops ensure the space is as enduring as it is beautiful, while 'Tahoe Walnut' and 'Moss Grey' cabinetry adds warmth and richness. A separate family room provides a second living space - ideal for those who need flexibility without sacrificing the open, social nature of the main living areas.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms Built for Comfort

The master bedroom, graced by those same soaring raking ceilings, offers a genuine retreat. A beautifully appointed ensuite featuring Quantum Venture Travertine Ivory tiles and Warmfloor underfloor heating provides everyday comfort, while two further well-sized bedrooms and a dedicated study make this a home designed to suit every stage of life.

    Sustainable, Future-Ready Living

For those thinking ahead, this home is as forward-thinking as it is beautiful. An Energizer solar system and EV charging in the double garage reflect a commitment to sustainable, intelligent living, while APL Thermally Broken window joinery with Low-E double glazing ensures year-round energy efficiency and comfort throughout the Nelson & Tasman seasons.
