David Reid Homes Waitaki/South Canterbury have made the finishing touches on their latest showhome, the first of many to be built in their brand new subdivision in Weston on the outskirts of Oamaru.
Directors Aaron and Nikki Mackay are in the process of subdividing the five hectare block in Weston, and hope the Oamaru showhome will provide inspiration to those looking to build in the area.
Consisting of four bedrooms, two seperate living areas, a large two-car carpeted garage and great indoor/outdoor flow to the spacious decks, the home fits the brief of their most commonly requested design.
The exterior of the home is Resene Graphex and Cedar, the look completed by gable ends, and a fireplace which is finished with a NZ Brick designer schist exterior.
A feature wall, housing the inbuilt fireplace and recessed television, showcases Rockcote Venetian Plaster, an up and coming Rockcote product.
A heat pump inside the home accompanies the fireplace to keep future owners warm during the cold North Otago winters.
Sections in the first stage of the Oamaru subdivision development are currently available to purchase, and are quickly gaining interest, with planning already underway for three custom designed homes.
Homes are being sold as part of a house and land package, with the complete design and build service.
Only a five minute drive from Oamaru, the area is quickly becoming a popular area to live, particularly for families looking to send their children to the local school or enjoy a more relaxed rural feel and because it is close to the Alps to Ocean cycle way.
Sections in the subdivision, which will also have a second stage of development, range in size from 550 to 1500 square metres.
Those interested in building in the area can visit Aaron and Nikki at the showhome by appointment, or get in touch with them here.
