Our new showhome in Highsted is finished and ready to explore. Set on a prominent 640sqm corner site near the entrance to the subdivision, it has a strong presence from the street while staying private and sheltered inside.

The three bedroom home is designed as two pavilions joined by a recessed entry, with a courtyard tucked between them. Inside, a cathedral ceiling, oversized windows and skylights fill the main living area with light, and a mezzanine adds flexible space. It could be a second lounge, a home office, a kids' area or a TV room. The interiors, by Alana Rooney of Nextdore, feature dark timber cabinetry, a light stone benchtop and a standout ensuite with a freestanding bath.

Outside, you'll see the new James Hardie board and batten cladding alongside Colorsteel Tray roofing, textured plaster and timber accents, giving the home a fresh, contemporary look that's built to last. The landscaping is low maintenance, so it's easy to lock up and go.

The showhome is also our new office, so there's usually someone around to walk you through it, talk about your plans or answer questions about building with David Reid Homes Christchurch North.
